Battery storage, sized to your tariff and your evenings
A battery turns daytime solar into evening electricity, and on a time-of-use tariff it can charge cheaply overnight even without panels. Whether it pays depends on the size of the battery, your tariff and how you use power, so we start there rather than with a product.
What the job includes
We survey the property and your consumption, analyse the tariff, then design and install a system from Tesla Powerwall 3 and Gateway, Fox ESS, Pylontech or Sigenergy, including hybrid inverters, distribution board upgrades, protection, grid connection, safety testing and the monitoring app. Larger properties and businesses get the same process at commercial scale.

- With existing solar, EV chargers and heat pumps.

- Grid connection, safety testing and the monitoring app set up with you.

Common questions
Do I need solar panels to have a battery?
No. On a time-of-use tariff a battery can charge overnight at the cheap rate and run the house during the day. Panels make it pay faster.
Which battery is best?
It depends on capacity, whether you want backup power during outages, and budget. Powerwall 3 offers backup; Fox ESS and Pylontech are modular; Sigenergy integrates EV charging. We recommend from the survey.
Will it keep the lights on in a power cut?
Only with a system designed for backup, such as Powerwall with a Gateway. Tell us if that matters and we design for it.
Is battery storage MCS certified?
Yes, battery installations are covered by our MCS certification.
