Central heating repairs, planned or urgent
Half the house cold, a pump that has gone quiet, a thermostat that does nothing, a cylinder dripping into the airing cupboard: heating faults rarely announce themselves politely. We repair the whole system, not just the boiler, on gas, LPG and oil installations.
What the job includes
Engineers carry multimeters, diagnostic equipment and power-flush machines, so most faults are found and fixed in one visit. We work on Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Grant, Baxi and Viessmann boilers and on Nest, Hive, Drayton and Honeywell Home controls.

- Cold spots, imbalanced systems, failed TRVs, replacements and additions.
- Pumps and valves
- Circulating pumps, motorised valves, diverter valves and zone valves replaced.

- Wired and wireless thermostats, programmers and smart controls repaired, reset or replaced.
- Cylinders and hot water
- Megaflo, Gledhill and Joule cylinders, leaks, valves and immersion heaters.
- Power flushing and balancing
- For systems that are sludged up or heat unevenly.
- Safety
- Expansion vessels, pressure relief valves and pressure systems inspected on every visit.

Common questions
Some radiators are hot and some are cold. What is wrong?
Usually trapped air, a balancing problem or sludge in the lower radiators. Bleeding and balancing fixes the first two; a power flush fixes the third.
Is it an emergency?
A leak that is damaging the property, no heating in cold weather, or anything involving a gas smell is. Call 01825 891720 at any hour for those.
Do you repair oil-fired systems?
Yes, under our OFTEC registration, including oil pipework and fire valves.
Can you fix my smart thermostat?
Yes. We repair, reset and replace Nest, Hive, Drayton and Honeywell Home controls and re-pair them to the boiler.
